Eric Frere - Photography
Welcome to my photography world!!
When I bought my first SLR camera over 40 years ago, I was immediately hooked. Life duties had put my passion on the back-burner but now, it's full speed ahead.
If you are interested in purchasing any of these photos, either as thank you cards, prints (virtually any size), or a classic framed print (canvas or acrylic prints are also available), please send me an email (click here) and I will contact you to help you. In the near future, I hope to streamline this process so you can do the purchase online.
I hope that you enjoy my photos.
Going to Ethiopia was truly stepping out of my comfort zone. It wasn't that I was discovering a part of the world; I was going to do portrait photography - something that I had very little previous experience. Hopefully, from these photographs, you will see a new passion!!
The Lofoten Islands are located above the Arctic Circle in northern Norway. Although getting there may require a few flights and/or ferry rides, the journey is well worth the sheer beauty of the islands. As you can see from these photographs, I fully expect Lofoten Islands will soon become a tourist mecca.
Svalbard is an archipelago belonging to Norway, located about halfway between mainland Norway and the North Pole. Most of the islands and covered by snow and ice (glaciers), Svalbard used to have quite a few coal mines. Now, it is building it's tourism industry.
Travelling around the Isle of Skye is a wonderful experience. The land can be both lush of vegetation and rocky with mountains, spires with more waterfalls that you can ever imagine.
Two magical northern countries. Although Iceland has become a popular tourist attraction with its waterfalls and landscapes, Greenland is an inviting spot for all! One of my favorite places to hike and take photos.
Morocco is a country that "invades" all of your senses with it's bright colors, deliciopus foods and sounds of the many markets and calls for prayer. Hidden behind old wodden doors are beautiful riyads where one can can stay to rest and enjoy some quiet time after visiting the local markets or madrasas.
