Ny-Ålesund

Ny-Ålesund is a centre for international arctic scientific research and environmental monitoring. It is also the location of the world’s most northern post office (78°55’N 11°56’E) - 1234 kms (766 miles) from the North Pole. Any country in the world can do scientific research (mostly communication) and share accommodations.
